From Monroe's teacher, Natalie Kotnik: "Students learned about different types of lines and then designed their acorn using different types of lines in crayon. A different day, we practiced drawing plaid using horizontal and vertical lines with paint sticks. Students used gold paint to stamp a leaf on dark green paper and then carefully cut it out when it was dry. Lastly, everything was glued onto the plaid paper."
