In a 5-round bantamweight bout in the main event, Song Yadong and Chris Gutierrez meet Saturday at UFC Fight Night 233 — also known as UFC on ESPN+ 91 and UFC Vegas 83 — at the UFC's APEX Facility in Las Vegas. Let's analyze FanDuel Sportsbook's around the UFC Fight Night 233: Song vs. Gutierrez odds, and make our expert picks and predictions.

The prelims can be viewed on ESPN+ starting at 7:30 p.m. ET, while the main card begins on ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET.

Records: Song (20-7-1) | Gutierrez (20-5-2)

Song picked up a 5th-round KO/TKO against Ricky Simon last time out in the main event April 29, bouncing back from a TKO - Doctor's Stoppage against Cory Sandhagen last September, also a main event. He has finished inside the distance 4 straight outings, winning 3 times. His last fight to go the distance was a split-decision win over Casey Kenney at UFC 265.

Gutierrez posted a unanimous-decision win over Alatengheili, and he has ended up going the distance in each of the past 2 outings, losing to Pedro Munhoz by UD in mid-April. Still, he has an impressive 8-1-1 record in the past 10 bouts since making his UFC debut in March 2019.

Both fighters have a 67-inch reach, and they're each nearly the same height, too. Gutierrez has a slight 5.04-to-4.61 significant strikes landed per minute advantage, while he is much more accurate at 59.01% to 48.49%. The ground game is in Song's advantage, posting a 0.53 takedown average, and 0.21 submission average.

Song has won 3 times via submission with no losses in his career, including a 1st-round submission against Bharat Kandare in his UFC debut. That was the last time, though, and that came back on Nov. 25, 2017, so you can mostly avoid that as a method of victory.

UFC Fight Night 233: Song Yadong vs. Chris Gutierrez picks and predictions

Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)

Song (-370) will cost you more than 3 1/2 times your potential return, and I'm just not feeling it. This bout was originally supposed to take place in Shanghai, China, and I have a feeling the heavy favorite is going to have a little bit of a letdown fighting at the APEX, rather than in his native China.

As such, I like GUTIERREZ (+300) as the heavy underdog. He has the opportunity to help you multiply your initial wager by 3 times, which is quite tempting. He is no slouch, either, going 8-1-1 in 10 bouts at the UFC level, and he is more accurate with his strikes, and a little more frequent in doling them out.

Over/Under (O/U)

YES (+112): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? is worth a roll of the dice at plus-money. While Song hasn't been the distance in 4 straight outings, he has ended up needing the judges to decide a winner in 3 of his past 7. And Gutierrez has ended up going the distance in each of the past 2, splitting those outings, while going the distance in 4 of the past 6 fights, too.
