The Minnesota Vikings (6-6) and Las Vegas Raiders (5-7) meet Sunday at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Vikings vs. Raiders odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Vikings squandered a golden opportunity to solidify their playoff position with a horrendous 12-10 Monday night home loss to the Chicago Bears on Nov. 27 prior to their Week 13 bye. QB Joshua Dobbs threw 4 interceptions, and Bears WR DJ Moore burned Minnesota's defense with 11 catches for 114 yards.

The Raiders are also coming off their bye week after collapsing in a 31-17 Week 12 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 26. The Raiders built a 14-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter, only to get outscored 31-3 the rest of the way. The Raiders defense allowed Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes to complete 27 of 34 passes for 298 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Vikings at Raiders picks and predictions

Prediction

Vikings 24, Raiders 20

Moneyline

PASS.

The 3 points of insurance changes the return on investment from -105 to -155, which is too steep a price to pay when you're picking up so few points in the process.

Against the spread

VIKINGS -3 (-105).

The Vikings are getting WR Justin Jefferson back in the lineup, which should infuse some steam into Minnesota's passing game. Dobbs may be getting his last chance as the starter if he has another brutal performance like he did against the Bears.

Minnesota's defense has been much improved over the last 2 months as it has embraced defensive coordinator Brian Flores' new system. It will bring the heat to Raiders rookie QB Aidan O'Connell, and that pressure could be enough to create the turnovers the Vikings will need to come away with a road win.

Over/Under

OVER 40.5 (-110).

Both offenses have quarterbacks with a lot more to gain than to lose by having a strong finish to the season. Neither Dobbs nor O'Connell is viewed as the clear frontrunner for the 2024 starting job, so both can sling the ball around in hopes of changing minds.

The return of Jefferson greatly helps Minnesota and WR Davante Adams has owned the Vikings defense throughout his career. Both of them should have big days, and when elite wide receivers post big numbers, teams put points on the board.

This one should stay pretty close to the number to beat, but if both Jefferson and Adams score a touchdown, it won't take much more to hit the Over.
